UNDERSTANDING THE STATUS OF A RECEIVER

DIRECTV Residential Experience UNDERSTANDING THE STATUS OF A RECEIVER

A simple yes/no indicates whether or not a receiver is currently available on the MCS. “No” indicates that the receiver is disconnected, has encountered an error state or has an installation or connection problem with the MCS. A receiver will switch to “no” after MCS does not receive any messages from it for 30 minutes. To ensure you have the most recent status, be sure to refresh the webpage.

Move the cursor over a “no” status to view the last time a particular receiver reported its status to the MCS.

In addition, you can expand a specific receiver to see its current settings. It must currently be Active, otherwise the MCS will not be able to communicate with the receiver to retrieve its current settings.

Please Note: You cannot send commands or assign defaults and channel lists to a receiver with a status of “no”.
